Assk.ai
For distributors, wholesalers and manufacturers

Your catalog, answering buyers' questions. Day and night.

Buyers, contractors and dealers come to your website with precise questions: will this fit, what's it rated for, is it certified, who sells it near me. The answers are already in your catalog pages and spec sheets. Assk.ai finds them, links to the source, and hands the people ready to order to your sales team.

  • Spec, compatibility, certification and warranty answers from your own pages
  • Upload spec sheets, line cards, price lists and install guides as PDF, Excel or CSV
  • Quote and account requests sent to sales with every question the buyer asked
  • Let the brands you carry sponsor their products, always labelled

The problem

Thousands of products. The same questions, over and over.

Your inside sales team spends its day on questions the catalog already answers: dimensions, ratings, replacement parts, which model fits which unit, how the warranty works. Buyers searching at night or between job sites don't wait for a call back. They order from whoever answered first.

Assk.ai reads your product pages and the spec sheets you upload, answers with a link to the exact page or document, and says plainly when your content doesn't cover something, so your people spend their time on quotes and accounts.

How it works

From a spec question to a quote request.

  1. It reads your catalog

You choose which sections it reads (products, resources, support) and skip the rest. Add spec sheets, line cards and price lists as files. It re-reads your site every week and only re-learns what changed.

  2. It answers with sources

Every answer links to the product page, or names the spec sheet it came from, so buyers can check the numbers themselves.

  3. Sales gets the lead

When someone wants a quote, an account or someone to talk to, it takes their details and emails your team the whole conversation. A signed webhook can send it on to your CRM.

Two sides of the same catalog

Built for the people who make it and the people who move it.

For distributors and wholesalers

Answer stock-line, brand, branch and account questions from your website. Feature the manufacturers you carry as sponsors, and send trade-pricing and account requests straight to inside sales.

For manufacturers

Answer specs, certifications, compatibility, installation and warranty questions from your product pages and technical documents. Point buyers to your dealer pages, and feature authorized dealers and installers as partners.

Spec sheets and price lists

Upload PDF, Word, Excel or CSV files your website doesn't show, up to 4 MB each. They're answered and cited by title, like pages.

Every brand's website

Several brand sites, or a site per branch or country? Growth covers 3 websites and Scale 10, sharing one allowance, all in one dashboard.

Export markets

A buyer who writes in Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese gets the answer in that language, from your English pages.

See what buyers can't find

Every question your catalog couldn't answer is listed. Write a short answer once (a cross-reference, a lead time, a substitute) and the assistant uses it from then on.

Sponsors

Turn your line card into a revenue line.

The brands you distribute want to be in front of buyers at the moment they choose. Give them a sponsored place under your assistant's answers, on your terms.

Manufacturers sponsor their products

When a buyer asks about ball valves, water heaters or fasteners, the sponsor's product appears in its own card under the answer, with a short description and a link.

A home for co-op funds

Many manufacturers set aside co-op marketing money for their distributors and dealers. A sponsored placement is a new, measurable place to spend it.

Numbers to renew on

See how often each sponsor was shown and clicked, by month, with a CSV and a one-line summary to send the brand at renewal time.

You choose what appears

You pick the sponsors, what their card says and the words and phrases they appear on. At most one sponsor shows under an answer.

Always labelled

Sponsors are marked Sponsored and kept outside the answer. The assistant never sees them, so answers still come only from your own content.

For manufacturers too

Feature your authorized dealers, installers or service partners, so a buyer asking who installs your product near them sees one by name.

Questions distributors and manufacturers ask

Straight answers.

Can it check live stock, account pricing or order status?

No. It answers from what's published on your website and in the files you upload, not from your ERP or e-commerce system. When a buyer needs stock, pricing or an order looked up, it takes their details for your team. If you upload a price list, it can quote the prices in it, so only upload prices you're happy for any visitor to see.

Our catalog is huge. Will it fit?

Each plan includes a number of pages your assistant knows, shared between your website pages and your documents: 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Growth, 5,000 on Scale, and a custom number on Enterprise. You choose which sections it reads, so you can leave out blog archives, news and duplicate filter pages. A single document can be up to about 130 pages.

Will it make up specs or compatibility?

It's instructed to answer only from your content, and every answer links to its source. If your pages and documents don't cover a question, it says so and offers to have your team follow up, rather than guessing. That question then shows up in your dashboard for you to answer.

How do quote requests reach us?

By email to your sales address, with the buyer's details and the whole conversation, and in your dashboard's Leads. A signed webhook sends each one on to your CRM or to Zapier. Set your business hours and the assistant tells buyers whether the team is in now or when it's back.

Do sponsors cost anything extra?

No. Sponsors are included on every plan. What you charge the brands you feature is up to you.

What does it cost?

Starter is $29.99 a month for one website. Growth, at $99 a month, covers 3 websites and 2,000 pages, which suits most distributors and single-brand manufacturers. Scale is $299 a month for 10 websites and 5,000 pages, and Enterprise is priced to your catalog. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. See Pricing.
