Assk.ai
For shops, boutiques and specialty retailers

"Do you carry it?" Answered before they drive somewhere else.

Shoppers check your website before they visit: whether you stock a brand, which sizes it comes in, when you're open on Sunday, how returns work. Assk.ai answers from your own pages, with a link, and sends the ones who want a hand to your team.

  • Answers about brands, products, sizes, hours, locations and returns
  • Reads the files you already have: brand lists, size guides, service menus
  • Never guesses at stock: it says the store will check, and takes their details
  • Let the brands you carry sponsor their products, always labelled

Free for 14 days. No credit card needed.

The problem

They decide where to shop before they leave the house.

Most store visits start on your website, often in the evening. If a shopper can't quickly find out whether you carry the brand, fit their size or take returns without a receipt, they go to the store that made it easy, or order online.

Your staff hear the same questions on the phone all day. Assk.ai answers them from your website and the documents you upload, says plainly when it doesn't know, and hands your team the customers who want someone to check, order or set something aside.

How it works

From a question to a customer through the door.

  1. It reads your site

Brands and departments, product pages, hours and locations, returns and exchanges, gift cards, services like fittings, repairs and alterations. You choose which sections it reads, and it re-reads every week.

  2. It's honest about stock

It can't see your inventory or hold an item, so it never promises one. It says the store will check, and takes the shopper's details.

  3. Your team follows up

The request reaches your inbox with the whole conversation (reply and you're writing to the customer), and a signed webhook can send it on to your CRM or email list.

Built for retail

Your counter knowledge, on every page.

Brand lists and size guides

Upload the PDFs, Word, Excel and CSV files your website doesn't show (brand lists, size charts, service menus, repair prices) and they're answered and cited like pages.

Your opening hours

Set your hours and time zone, and the assistant tells shoppers whether the team is in now or when it's back.

Every location

One website with a page per store works as it is. Separate websites for each shop? Growth covers 3 and Scale 10, sharing one allowance, in one dashboard.

Shoppers' languages

A shopper who writes in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or another language gets the answer in that language, from your English pages.

Your voice

Pick a friendly, upbeat or expert tone and an answer length, add style notes, and try it in the live preview.

What shoppers ask

See every question your site couldn't answer (a brand you don't list, holiday hours) and write a short answer the assistant uses straight away.

Sponsors

The brands you carry, at the moment shoppers choose.

The brands on your shelves want to be in front of shoppers when they decide. Give them a sponsored place under your assistant's answers, on your terms.

Brands sponsor their products

When a shopper asks about hiking boots, espresso machines or mattresses, the sponsor's product appears in its own card under the answer, with a short description and a link.

A home for co-op funds

Many brands set aside co-op marketing money for the stores that carry them. A sponsored placement is a new, measurable place for your rep to spend it.

Numbers to renew on

See how often each sponsor was shown and clicked, by month, with a CSV and a one-line summary to send the brand at renewal time.

Always labelled

You pick the sponsors and the words they appear on, and at most one shows under an answer. It's marked Sponsored and kept outside the answer: the assistant never sees it.

Questions shops ask

Straight answers.

Can it tell shoppers what's in stock?

No. It doesn't connect to your point-of-sale or inventory system, so it never says an item is on the shelf or holds one. It takes the shopper's details so your team can check, or points them to your online store if you have one.

Can it take orders or payments?

No. It answers questions and passes customers to your team. If you sell online, it links to the pages on your website, and shoppers check out there as usual.

We have hundreds of products online. Will it read them all?

Each page it reads counts toward your plan's pages: 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Growth and 5,000 on Scale. Before the first read you choose which sections it reads, so you can keep your brands, services and store pages and skip the rest. Large online catalogs fit Growth or Scale.

Our hours change for the holidays. Will it give old ones?

It re-reads your website every week. For a change that can't wait, upload a short document with the new hours under Documents, and the assistant uses it within minutes.

Where are customers' details kept?

In your account's own storage, separate from every other customer's, and sent only to your email address and the webhook you set. See Security.

What does it cost?

Starter is $29.99 a month for one website and 500 conversations, with a 14-day free trial. Sponsors are included on every plan. See Pricing.
